Bitcoin vs. Ethereum: Which Crypto Reigns Supreme?
In the world of cryptocurrencies, Bitcoin and Ethereum are the two giants that dominate the market. While they share some similarities, they serve different purposes and operate on distinct blockchain technologies. This article will delve into their key features, differences, and potential future trends.
Understanding Bitcoin
Launched in 2009 by an anonymous entity known as Satoshi Nakamoto, Bitcoin is the first cryptocurrency and remains the most recognized. As a decentralized digital currency, it enables peer-to-peer transactions without the need for intermediaries like banks.
Purpose: Primarily a store of value and a medium of exchange.
Supply Limit: Capped at 21 million coins, creating scarcity and demand.
Consensus Mechanism: Uses Proof of Work (PoW) for transaction verification.
Understanding Ethereum
Ethereum, introduced in 2015 by Vitalik Buterin and others, is more than just a digital currency. It serves as a platform for decentralized applications (dApps) and smart contracts, allowing developers to create new functionalities within its ecosystem.
Purpose: Facilitates smart contracts and decentralized applications.
Supply Limit: No fixed supply cap, allowing for issuance dependent on network demand and other factors.
Consensus Mechanism: Transitioning from Proof of Work (PoW) to Proof of Stake (PoS) with Ethereum 2.0.
Key Differences
While both Bitcoin and Ethereum are cryptocurrencies, their functionalities and goals differ significantly:
Transaction Speed: Bitcoin transactions can take longer due to network congestion, while Ethereum’s smart contracts enable faster processing.
Transaction Fees: Ethereum typically experiences varying gas fees based on network activity, whereas Bitcoin’s fees are relatively stable.
Use Cases: Bitcoin is often referred to as “digital gold” due to its value preservation, while Ethereum is considered the backbone of decentralized finance (DeFi) and NFTs.
Future Outlook
Both cryptocurrencies have expansive futures, influenced by developments in technology, regulatory changes, and market demand. Bitcoin’s status as a store of value may solidify it further in the financial system, while Ethereum’s evolution with the introduction of Ethereum 2.0 may enhance its scalability and efficiency, positioning it as a leader in the dApp space.
Non-fungible tokens (NFTs) have taken the digital world by storm, revolutionizing how we perceive ownership and value in the digital space. Unlike cryptocurrencies such as Bitcoin or Ethereum, NFTs are unique digital assets that cannot be exchanged on a one-to-one basis.
What Exactly Are NFTs?
At its core, an NFT is a unit of data stored on a blockchain, a decentralized digital ledger. NFTs can represent ownership of a variety of items, including artwork, music, videos, and even virtual real estate. Each NFT has unique characteristics and metadata that make it distinct and verifiable.
The Growth of the NFT Market
Since their inception, NFTs have witnessed explosive growth. Sales surged from millions to billions in just a few years, with high-profile auctions making headlines. Artists, musicians, and creators have embraced NFTs as a way to monetize their work, independent of traditional gatekeepers.
Why Are NFTs Important?
NFTs are significant for several reasons:
Ownership and Provenance: NFTs provide a transparent record of ownership, allowing buyers to verify the authenticity of a digital item.
Empowerment of Creators: Artists can sell their work directly to consumers, retaining a larger share of the profits.
Community Engagement: NFT projects often foster vibrant communities, where fans can connect and engage more meaningfully with the creators.
Challenges and Criticisms
Despite their rise, NFTs face several challenges and criticisms:
Environmental Concerns: The energy consumption of blockchain networks, especially those using proof-of-work systems, raises environmental issues.
Market Volatility: The NFT market can be unpredictable, with prices fluctuating dramatically.
Intellectual Property Issues: As ownership can be easily misrepresented, disputes over copyright and authenticity are common.
The Future of NFTs
The future of NFTs appears bright as innovations in technology and applications emerge. From virtual reality experiences to integrations in gaming and digital identity, the potential applications are vast. As more individuals and businesses recognize the value of digital ownership, NFTs will likely continue to shape the landscape of the digital economy.
Conclusion
The rise of NFTs marks a significant shift in how we understand and interact with digital assets. Whether you’re an artist, a collector, or simply an observer, staying informed about this evolving concept will be essential as the digital world continues to grow.
HOUSTON, Texas (KTRK) — A United Airlines flight headed to Houston was diverted to Monterrey on Sunday due to a mechanical issue, airline officials say.
According to the airline, United Flight 579 from Cabo San Lucas, Mexico, was headed to Houston when a mechanical issue impacted the Airbus A320 aircraft. An emergency was declared, and the plane was then diverted to Monterrey, airline officials said.
Airline officials said the 143 passengers and five crew members deplaned normally. United Airlines said it has arranged for a different aircraft to take customers to Houston.
Looking for plans this weekend? How about watching Rachel McAdams psychologically and physically torture Dylan O’Brien in the new Sam Raimi movie, Send Help, which is now streaming on Hulu, free to subscribers? Don’t worry, he totally deserves it!
Directed by Sam Raimi, with a screenplay written by Damian Shannon and Mark Swift, Send Help stars Rachel McAdams as the meek, underappreciated employee of a sexist CEO (O’Brien) who horribly mistreats her. Then the two colleagues’ plane crashes on a deserted island while en route to a work trip. The CEO is injured, and, suddenly, the power dynamics are flipped. It doesn’t hurt that McAdam’s character is a life long Survivor fan. You might say she’s been training her whole life for this. This one is for everyone with a terrible, abusive boss who’s ever harbored a secret revenge fantasy.
This r-rated survival thriller is exactly as wild, gross, and ridiculous as you want it to be. If you didn’t get a chance to see it in theaters, now is your chance to watch it at home on streaming. And if you get to the end of the movie and find yourself confused, don’t worry, because Decider is here to help. Read on for an analysis of the Send Help movie plot summary and Send Help movie ending explained.
Linda Liddle (Rachel McAdams) works as a Planning & Strategy Department strategist for a financial company, and she’s very good at her job. Unfortunately, she’s also weird, frumpy, and doesn’t wear attractive clothing. She lives alone, is obsessed with Survivor, and her only friend is her pet bird. Because of this, she’s completely overlooked and underappreciated by her asshole boss and newly-appointed-nepo-baby-CEO, Bradley (Dylan O’Brien). Bradley goes back on his promise to give Linda a long-overdue promotion, and instead gives it one of his male buddies. As a consolation to Linda, he invites her to join him and some other high-ranking men on a trip on a business trip to Bangkok.
On the flight, Bradley and the boys unearth Linda’s Survivor audition tape, and laugh at her expense. But she gets the last laugh when the plane crashes into the ocean, and she and Bradley are the only survivors. They wake up on a remote, unpopulated island. Linda is unharmed, but Bradley’s leg is gravely injured, leaving him unable to walk. Linda, leaning on her Survivor skills, builds shelter and gathers food and water for the both of them. She nurses Bradley back to health. But when Bradley starts speaking to her with disrespect, the same way he treated her at the office, she abandons him for two days. Bradley nearly dies from thirst, unable to fend for himself. He reluctantly accepts that Linda is the captain now.
While out foraging, Linda spies a luxury boat on the water. Instead of signaling the boat for help, she hides from it, not ready to leave the island yet. Bradley is starting to heal and is able to walk around on crutches. Linda warns him not to go to a certain side of the island, where a rock formation forms an X, because it is covered in poisonous plants. One day, Linda shows up to their make-shift camp with a sharp kitchen knife she says washed up on the beach. She prepares Bradley a fancy meal of fruit and sushi, complete with moonshine alcohol.
That night, drunk around the fire, Linda and Bradley open up to one another. Bradley talks about his fianceé, Zuri. Linda reveals her former husband was an abusive alcoholic. For years, Linda endured his abuse and saved him from himself by hiding his car keys when he was drunk. But one night, after a big fight, she deliberately left his car keys out on the table. He died that night, in a drunk driving accident.
After the night by the fire, Bradley is extremely nice to Linda and offers to cook her dinner. But it’s soon revealed he poisoned her meal, in the hopes of escaping on his makeshift raft. The raft immediately falls apart in the ocean, and the dosage wasn’t enough to kill Linda. She rescues Bradley from drowning in the ocean. Then she gets revenge on Bradley by tying him up, paralyzing him with octopus venom, and pretending to castrate him. She informs him that no help is coming, and that he needs to accept that she is the boss now. She promises to be a nicer boss than he was to her.
Soon after, Linda is out foraging when she’s spotted by a boat along the coastline. On the boat is Bradley’s fiance Zuri (Edyll Ismail), who hired her own investigator to keep searching for Bradley after the official investigation gave up. Linda leads Zuri and the boat driver up a tall cliff, ostensibly to lead them back to Bradley. She lags behind while Zuri and the driver step onto a spot on the cliff that Linda knows is unstable. When Zuri slips and falls—caught by the driver, who is now slipping, too—Linda doesn’t move to help them to safety. Linda returns to camp alone, and tells Bradley nothing. She withdraws, and claims she’s taking a “sick day.” In her dreams, she’s haunted by the ghost of Zuri.
Bradley tries to hunt on his own, and comes across Zuri’s body, partially buried in the sand. He confronts Linda, who claims it was a accident—that she fell, but she didn’t think Bradley would believe. In fact, Bradley doesn’t believe her. He also stole her knife. He attempts to kill Linda, but after a bloody fight, she gets the better of him. Bradley flees toward the X-shaped rocks that Linda warned him to stay away from.
Upon reaching the rocks, Bradley discovers a luxury home on the cliff. He bangs on the door for help, runs inside, and finds the house fully stocked with food and water, but empty. When he looks for a knife in the silverware drawer, he finds them all gone. Linda’s voice comes on over the house’s security/PA system, where she confesses she discovered this house a long time ago. Remember that boat she saw near the beginning of the movie? It turns out she followed the boat, and saw workers dropping off a food delivery for the house. She broke in after they left, and disabled the security system. The house’s owner, a Wall Street billionaire, has been none the wiser.
That’s where her knife came from, as well as all this luxury fruit she’d been “foraging.” She’s good at Survivor, but not that good! It’s also revealed in a flashback that Linda did not merely neglect to help Zuri and the boat driver, when they were dangling off that cliff side. In fact, when it looked like he might pull Zuri up, Linda bashed the boat driver in the head with a rock, and sent two innocent people falling to their death. That’s no accident!
Linda corners Bradley in the house, with a shot gun pointed to his head. Bradley begs for his life. He apologizes for being “a monster” and swears that Linda has changed him for the better. He tells Linda he loves her and wants to stay on this island to live with her forever. For a second, it seems Linda might be buying it. But then she notices one of the horns on a decorative metal bull is missing. Bradley attacks.
Bradley gets a hold of the gun, points it at Linda, and says, “Bye you crazy bitch from accounting.” But the gun is not loaded. Linda beats Bradley with a golf club. Before she delivers the fatal swing to his head, Linda corrects the mistake Bradley made again and again when it came to Linda’s job at the company: “Strategy and Planning.”
The movie abruptly cuts to a scene nearly one year later, where Linda is golfing at a Celebrity Golf Invitational. In an interview for the local news, we learn that Linda was discovered alone on a raft in the sea nearly one year ago. The official story is that she is the only survivor of the company plane crash. She’s written a best-selling book about her experience, which is soon to be a movie. Next up, Linda says she plans to write a self-help book, to help teach people that “no help is coming. So you better start saving yourself.”
The movie ends with Linda driving along a coastal highway, in a convertible, with her pet bird by her side. Blondie’s hit song “One Way or Another” blasts. Linda shoots a menacing look at the camera, and with that, the movie ends. (Perhaps the use of the Blondie song is a nod to another Rachel McAdams movie, Mean Girls, which uses that same song in a famous montage. Mean Girl McAdams is back!)
So what does it all mean? Well, ultimately, Send Help is a movie about power, authority, and morality. We might like Linda better than Bradley, but when she became his “boss,” she eventually let the power corrupt her. Despite her claims of being a good person, by the end of the movie she has become a murderer of innocent people.
One could also argue Send Help is a movie about the labor women do to save men—be it an employee working for an abusive boss, or a wife keeping an abusive husband alive—and what it means when women stop doing that labor. Is withholding help the same thing as harming some one? We can agree that hitting the boat driver with a rock is murder, but what about Linda leaving Bradley to die of thirst? What about Linda giving her drunk husband his car keys? Is it murder to simply not save someone from themselves?
By the end of the movie, it’s clear Linda believes it’s no longer her moral obligation to help anyone. “No help is coming.”
Cryptocurrency Wallets: How to Choose the Right One for You
As cryptocurrencies gain popularity, understanding how to securely store your digital assets becomes vital. A cryptocurrency wallet is a software or hardware tool that allows you to interact with a blockchain, enabling you to send, receive, and manage your cryptocurrency. However, with many options available, choosing the right wallet can be overwhelming. This article will guide you through the types of wallets and key factors to consider, ensuring you make an informed decision.
Types of Cryptocurrency Wallets
Cryptocurrency wallets can be broadly categorized into two main types: hot wallets and cold wallets.
Hot Wallets: These wallets are connected to the internet, making them convenient for frequent transactions. They are available as mobile apps, desktop software, or web-based platforms. However, their connectivity makes them more vulnerable to hacking.
Cold Wallets: Cold wallets are offline storage solutions, significantly reducing the risk of online hacks. They include hardware wallets (physical devices) and paper wallets (printed QR codes and keys). While they offer enhanced security, they may not be as user-friendly for quick transactions.
Key Factors to Consider When Choosing a Wallet
When selecting a cryptocurrency wallet, keep the following factors in mind:
Security: Look for wallets with robust security features. Cold wallets generally offer more security than hot wallets. Additionally, consider wallets that use two-factor authentication (2FA) and encryption.
User Experience: Choose a wallet that is easy to set up and navigate. A user-friendly interface is particularly important for beginners.
Supported Cryptocurrencies: Ensure the wallet supports the cryptocurrencies you intend to hold. Some wallets are multi-currency, while others are specific to certain coins.
Backup and Recovery: Select a wallet that provides a straightforward backup and recovery process. This is crucial in case your device is lost or damaged.
Customer Support: Good customer support can help resolve issues swiftly. Look for wallets with responsive support teams and extensive resources.
Reputation: Research the wallet’s reputation within the cryptocurrency community. User reviews and industry certifications can provide insights into the wallet’s reliability.
Conclusion
Choosing the right cryptocurrency wallet is crucial for ensuring the safety of your digital assets. By understanding the different types of wallets and considering the key factors above, you can find a wallet that suits your needs and preferences. Remember, the goal is to balance security and convenience while effectively managing your cryptocurrency holdings.
We’ve got another week to figure it out if the Spurs and Timberwolves can stretch out their Western Conference semifinal series to maximum length.
In the meantime, “Game 4” is tasty enough. If a best-of-seven series is at 3-0, the fourth game can put the trailing team out of its misery and allow the rest of us to move on.
But if it’s 2-1 the way this series is, with the Spurs in front, Game 4 Sunday (7:30 ET, NBC) is as pivotal as an uncharted crossroads with no turning back.
If San Antonio is as greedy as it wants to be at Minneapolis’ Target Center, it will have a commanding lead that assures advancement about 95% of the time. It would set up the Spurs nicely for what could be an epic showdown in the West with OKC.
But if the Wolves fire back to make this 2-2, the pressure mounts for the Spurs not to lose Game 5. Minnesota is assured of another home game and the prospects of the series going seven improve considerably.
After two straight trips to the West finals, Minnesota sees the next round as its rightful turf. The Spurs are closing the experience gap with the veteran Wolves with each passing game and aren’t inclined to defer now.
Here are three things to watch for Sunday:
1. Quicker relief valve for Edwards
Having Victor Wembanyama near the basket while his teammates are throwing defensive double-teams at Anthony Edwards early in possessions has led many times to sluggish, indecisive offense for the Wolves.
One reason? Donte DiVincenzo, Edward’s backcourt stalwart all season, is out for the foreseeable future after rupturing his right Achilles tendon in the Denver series.
DiVincenzo never was shy about immediately making a defense pay by firing from 3-point range. He led his team with 244 3-pointers in the regular season, launching eight per game.
It was the surest way to pull some of that help away from Edwards, the Wolves No. 1 threat. With DiVincenzo out, Edwards at times – especially in the first two games – was slower to move the ball. And when he did, the recipient didn’t swiftly make the Spurs pay.
Victor Wembanyama scores a playoff career-high 39 points, along with 15 rebounds and five blocks in a Game 3 win.
Wembanyama’s long presence and Wandering Albatross wingspan (look it up) makes the basket at San Antonio’s end seem closed even when it isn’t.
Wemby’s teams seem less vulnerable in their rotations. Minnesota needs to inflict immediate pain a few times to soften the focus on Edwards, but with the exception of veteran Mike Conley, none of the other starters is a quick-trigger shooter.
Something has to give, because the Wolves’ offense has been looking the way Edwards’ achy knees might feel. After scoring 115.6 points per 100 possessions in the regular season and 112.8 in the first round against the Nuggets, it is at 100.0 through these three games. That would have ranked last in the league by a wide margin during the season.
2. Time for role players to … roll
We all know the cliché by now: Role players play better at home in the playoffs. The Wolves need some of that before they head back on the road for Game 5 Tuesday.
Naz Reid’s 18 points on Friday don’t quite qualify because Reid is so essential to the rotation – he played longer minutes in Game 3 than three of the starters. Ayo Dosunmu was helpful with 11 points, seven boards and five assists. Terrence Shannon Jr. was an odd plus-19 while scoring only five points on 2-for-6 shooting in more than 28 minutes.
Playing only eight is a tough way to go, especially with games every other day. A spate of instant offense from shooter Bones Hyland or some disruption from guard Jaylen Clark could be the X-factor the Wolves need to even things up.
3. Savor young Wembanyama
Skeptics, longtime NBA followers and certainly fans of rival teams can be excused if they’ve been slow to climb aboard the Wembanyama band wagon through the young man’s first three NBA seasons. It took San Antonio until this season, after all, to reach the playoffs – 22 and 34 victories seemed like small strides for someone his size.
Besides, pushback is natural when you feel something is being fast-tracked, the way the league has touted Wembanyama since before his arrival in 2023 as its present and future all at once.
But it’s time to reconsider or open one’s mind. The 22-year-old showed in so many ways Friday, at both ends, in his 40-minute performance that he’s far more than just a lucky gene pool participant.
Growing to (at least?) 7-foot-4 – Minnesota’s Jaden McDaniels said he seems “10 feet tall” – is a wonderful advantage.
But you don’t develop the shooting touch or precise footwork Wembanyama shows without putting in those 10,000 hours Malcom Gladwell made famous.
You don’t learn to set up teammates the way he routinely does or orchestrate a play in real time as Wemby did for his dagger 3-pointer in the fourth quarter without studying the game and learning everybody’s job. And you don’t stay grounded, unflappable and above the hype without keeping your priorities in order and staying more Tim Duncan than Draymond Green in yammering.
Wembanyama’s Game 3 – 39 points, 15 rebounds, five blocks, clutch plays and navigating the final six minutes with five fouls – was an all-timer. To get that already suggests so much more to come.
When the Spurs center is tucking away a fourth MVP award or flaunting a third championship ring, some French resistance might be acceptable.
Better right now to go along for and enjoy the ride.
From Hype to Reality: The Evolution of Stablecoins
Stablecoins have emerged as a significant innovation in the cryptocurrency landscape, providing a bridge between volatile cryptocurrencies and traditional fiat currencies. This article explores the evolution of stablecoins, tracing their journey from initial hype to their current status in the financial ecosystem.
The Birth of Stablecoins
The concept of stablecoins dates back to around 2014, when the need for price stability in the cryptocurrency market became increasingly apparent. As cryptocurrencies like Bitcoin and Ethereum exhibited extreme volatility, the demand for a stable digital currency surged. The first significant stablecoin, Tether (USDT), was introduced in 2014, pegging its value to the US dollar to provide a sense of stability for traders and investors.
Types of Stablecoins
Stablecoins can be broadly classified into three types:
Fiat-Collateralized Stablecoins: These stablecoins are backed by a reserve of fiat currency, such as the US dollar. For every stablecoin issued, there is an equivalent dollar held in reserve.
Crypto-Collateralized Stablecoins: These stablecoins are secured by other cryptocurrencies, often over-collateralized to account for price fluctuations.
Algorithmic Stablecoins: These rely on algorithms and smart contracts to control the supply and demand, maintaining a stable value without backing by any physical asset.
The Rise of Adoption
As blockchain technology evolved, so did the applications of stablecoins. By 2020, several stablecoins gained traction, with Tether, USD Coin (USDC), and Dai emerging as popular choices for traders and investors. Their ability to facilitate faster, cheaper transactions and provide a hedge against market volatility drove widespread adoption.
Regulatory Challenges
Despite their growth, stablecoins have faced several regulatory challenges. Concerns regarding transparency, reserve management, and the potential for systemic risk have prompted scrutiny from regulatory bodies worldwide. In response, many stablecoin issuers have taken measures to enhance transparency and compliance, which is essential for their long-term viability.
Current Trends and Future Prospects
The evolution of stablecoins has led to innovative financial products and services, including decentralized finance (DeFi) applications, remittances, and cross-border payments. As central banks explore the concept of Central Bank Digital Currencies (CBDCs), the future of stablecoins will likely intersect with institutional finance, presenting new opportunities and challenges.
Conclusion
From their inception as a response to the volatility of cryptocurrencies to their current role as a critical component of the digital economy, stablecoins have come a long way. Their evolution is a testament to the adaptability of blockchain technology and its potential to reshape the financial landscape.
Which leads to a new question for Iga this spring: Can she bring her 2025 attitude about grass to her 2026 matches on clay? Can she get herself to feel less pressure on a surface where she was once expected to win every time she played?
On court, the verdict is still out. Swiatek lost to Mirra Andreeva in Stuttgart, was ill in Madrid, and was topsy-turvy against McNally.
Off court, though, she may have hired the right person to help her with her particular problem. Francisco Roig, her new coach, was also Nadal’s coach.
I’ve always thought that Nadal’s long-running clay dominance was, in at least one way, underrated. You might think that, once he had established himself as the best-ever on dirt, it would be easier to keep winning win on it. And it’s true, Rafa’s opponents couldn’t have been all that confident when they stepped onto a clay court with him. But as Swiatek has found out, winning matches you’re expected to win, over and over and over, year after year after year, can be the toughest task of all. Every time Nadal played on clay, he knew that, if he lost, it would be headline news. Yet he never let that pressure get to him.
Nintendo Co. Switch 2 game consoles at a Bic Camera Inc. electronics store in Tokyo, Japan, on Thursday, June 5, 2025. Nintendo Co. fans from Tokyo to Manhattan stood in line for hours to be among the first to get a Switch 2, fueling one of the biggest global gadget debuts since the iPhone launches of yesteryear.

Nintendo will hike the retail price of the Switch 2 after forecasting a decline in sales for its flagship console as the memory chip crunch hits the Japanese gaming giant.
The company said on Friday it expects to sell 16.5 million units of the Switch 2 in its fiscal year ended Mar. 31, 2027. That is a decline from the 19.86 million units sold in the fiscal year just ended.
Meanwhile, the company’s forecasts for the current year were far below analyst estimates.
Nintendo said the price of the Switch 2 in the U.S. will rise by $50 from $449.99 to $499.99, from Sept. 1. In Japan, Nintendo will hike the price from 49,980 yen to 59,980 yen, effective May. 25. Nintendo also said prices for the Switch 2 will increase in Canada and Europe.
Nintendo said the rise in console prices is “In light of changes in market conditions” and after the company considered “the global business outlook.”
Nintendo shares have been under pressure since hitting a record high above 14,000 yen in August, falling nearly 50% since that peak as the memory crunch has impacted the company.
On Friday, Nintendo said its financial forecast for the year ended March 2027 reflects an approximately 100 billion yen ($637.8 million) impact due to rising component prices, particularly for memory, and “tariff measures.”
The company’s outlook was shy of analyst expectations. Nintendo now forecasts net sales for the year of 2.05 trillion yen, an 11.4% year-on-year decline and missing LSEG analyst expectations of 2.46 trillion yen. The company said it also expects a 27% decline in net profit to 310 billion yen, below analyst expectations of 418.5 billion yen.
“The clock was ticking for Nintendo for months now,” Serkan Toto, CEO of Kantan Games, told CNBC. “The impact is quite dramatic, as console sales usually go up in the second year — and not down as Nintendo predicts this time.”
The Switch 2 was released last June.
Despite the headwinds, Nintendo continues to find success with its well-known brands. “The Super Mario Galaxy Movie”, released this year from Universal and Illumination, has grossed nearly $900 million globally, according to Box Office Mojo.
The Switch 2 game “Pokémon Pokopia,” has turned into a surprise hit, receiving positive reviews from users and becoming one of the console’s best-selling games so far.
Nintendo has a new game in its “Splatoon” and “Starfox” franchises slated for this year. There are two major Pokémon games scheduled for release next year.
“It is now absolutely critical for Nintendo to release blockbuster first-party games as fast as possible in order to drive sales,” Toto said.
Nintendo’s reported revenue of 407.2 billion yen for the first quarter was below analyst estimates compiled by LSEG of 430.6 billion yen. But net profit came in at 65.2 billion, ahead of analyst expectations of 63.28 billion yen.
