“The Chosen” Season 6 has set its premiere date on Amazon Prime Video.
The new season of the epic Biblical series will premiere with its first three episodes Nov. 15, followed by weekly releases through Dec. 6. The season finale will later receive a standalone theatrical release in spring 2027.
According to the official synopsis, “The hour has come. Before the sun sets, Jesus of Nazareth will be dead. Season Six captures the historic events of Jesus’ final day through the lives of those who love Him—and those who condemn Him. Pharisees call it justice. Romans call it peace. Followers call it murder. But in the face of loneliness and death, Jesus stands resolute in his plan that has always led to one place: the cross. ‘The Chosen’ Season Six reveals how Jesus’ final hours changed the world forever.”
Dallas Jenkins, chairman and chief creative officer of 5&2 Studios and creator and executive producer of “The Chosen” said the creative team approached the story with both television and theatrical ambitions in mind. “We realized this not only deserved a season of television but a standalone full-length theatrical event as well,” he said.
According to recent announcements, Season 6 is set to debut on November 15, 2026, with the first three episodes dropping simultaneously on Prime Video. The remaining episodes will follow a weekly release schedule, building momentum toward what promises to be one of the most powerful and emotional chapters in the series so far.
Created by Dallas Jenkins, The Chosen has become a groundbreaking success story, widely recognized as the first multi-season television series dedicated to portraying the life of Jesus. Its unique storytelling approach, character depth, and crowd-funded origins have helped it amass a massive global audience.
