With the season’s longest offensive play, Judkins puts the Browns ahead of the Dolphins.

The Cleveland Browns have taken advantage of a weak Dolphins run defense to give themselves a 10-3 lead over Miami in the second quarter.

The third rushing touchdown of Quinshon Judkins’ rookie season went for 46 yards, which makes it the longest offensive play for the Browns this season. Early in the second quarter, Judkins has 71 rushing yards on just ten attempts, and the Browns as a team are averaging six yards per carry. Coming into Sunday’s game, the Dolphins had allowed the most rushing yards to opposing offenses in the NFL this season.

When running back Quinshon Judkins produced the team’s longest offensive play of the season, the Cleveland Browns gained a commanding lead over the Miami Dolphins. The pivotal moment, which occurred halfway through the second quarter, changed the outcome of a fiercely contested game.

The Dolphins’ defense was breached by Judkins, who ran downfield for an incredible touchdown that invigorated the squad and stadium spectators. His remarkable speed, agility, and field vision were on display in the play; these qualities have already established him as one of the Browns’ most promising young players.

After the play, the Browns’ offense, which has had trouble staying consistent this season, appeared to gain confidence. Improved blocking and help from the quarterback were also crucial in enabling the lengthy run.

Judkins’ touchdown came after an interception by Dolphins safety Ashtyn Davis was wiped off the board thanks to a defensive pass interference penalty committed by fellow safety Minkah Fitzpatrick.

After a stark imbalance in the Browns’ offensive play-calling last week against the Steelers led to rookie quarterback Dillon Gabriel dropping back nearly 60 times, Cleveland is clearly leaning more into the run today; through three drives, the Browns have run the football 14 times compared to just four dropbacks for Gabriel.
