Jurasek is one of nine changes from City’s 2-1 Championship loss to Middlesbrough on Saturday, replacing Ante Crnac behind Mathias Kvistgaarden on the Dane’s full debut.

He’s joined in the ‘number 10’ positions by Oscar Schwartau, with Liam Gibbs making a first start of the season. That’s also true of Ruairi McConville in defence as Ben Chrisene comes in for Jose Cordoba.

Daniel Grimshaw replaces Vladan Kovacevic in goal and Kellen Fisher starts at right wing back as Jack Stacey goes through concussion protocols. Josh Sargent is left out of the matchday squad and Harry Darling takes on the captain’s armband. Jeffrey Schlupp starts at left wing back ahead of Papa Amadou Diallo.

Anis Ben Slimane is on the bench despite City’s openness to an exit for the Tunisian, although Shane Duffy misses out. George Long yesterday completed a loan move to the Saints but is absent from their squad.

Lucien Mahovo is targeting availability after next month’s international break as he recovers from a quad injury, while Elliot Myles and Amankwah Forson are both long-term absentees.

Jacob Wright is serving a three-game suspension after his red card in that Boro defeat, and will miss trips to Blackburn and Coventry either side of the international break.
