FAMU to Honor Seniors in SWAC Showdown vs Jackson State

Thirty-one senior Florida A&M football players will be honored at this Saturday’s, Nov. 1, game versus Jackson State.

The Rattlers will hold a pregame Senior Night ceremony for the players and families before they have their last dance on Ken Riley Field at Bragg Memorial Stadium.

FAMU’s Senior Night honorees include six players who have earned individual Southwestern Athletic Conference honors.

Headlining are Rattlers running back Thad Franklin Jr., offensive lineman Ashton Grable, and linebacker Nay’Ron Jenkins. Offensive lineman Charles Davis, defensive end James Gardner Jr., and cornerback TJ Huggins round out the All-SWAC honorees.

FAMU versus Jackson State, a Week 10 game with critical SWAC East standings implications on the line, kicks off in Tallahassee at 7 p.m. Eastern Time.

Since the teams became divisional opponents in 2021, the winner of the game has gone on to win the SWAC Championship and advance to the Celebration Bowl.

Jackson State beat FAMU in 2021, 2022, and 2024. FAMU has just one win over Jackson State in the series, prevailing in 2023.

ESPN+ will televise the SWAC and HBCU football showdown, while 96.1 JAMZ will host a radio broadcast on Tallahassee’s radio airwaves.
