iPhone 18 Pro Set to Launch This Year: Discover 12 Exciting New Features

While the iPhone 18 Pro and iPhone 18 Pro Max are not expected to launch for more than five more months, there are already plenty of rumors about the devices.

It was initially reported that the iPhone 18 Pro models would have fully under-screen Face ID, with only a front camera visible in the top-left corner of the screen. However, the latest rumors indicate that only one Face ID component will be moved under the screen on the devices, which will result in merely a smaller Dynamic Island.

Below, we have recapped 12 features rumored for the iPhone 18 Pro models, as of April 2026:

  • Red Color: The special color for the iPhone 18 Pro models will reportedly be red.
  • Smaller Dynamic Island: It has been rumored that Face ID’s flood illuminator will be moved under the screen on the iPhone 18 Pro models, paving the way for a smaller Dynamic Island on the devices.
  • 6.3-inch and 6.9-inch Display Sizes: The next Pro models are expected to have the same overall design as the iPhone 17 Pro models, including 6.3-inch and 6.9-inch display sizes and a “plateau” housing three rear cameras.
  • LTPO+ Displays: More power-efficient displays could contribute to longer battery life.
  • Variable Aperture: The main 48-megapixel Fusion camera on both iPhone 18 Pro models is rumored to have a variable aperture, which would allow users to control the amount of light that passes through the camera’s lens and reaches the sensor. This would provide greater control over depth of field. However, given that iPhones have smaller image sensors due to smartphone size constraints, it is unclear exactly how meaningful this improvement would be.
  • A20 Pro Chip: Apple’s next-generation A20 Pro chip is expected to use TSMC’s first-generation 2nm process, whereas the A19 Pro chip is 3nm. With a 2nm architecture and a new packaging design, the A20 Pro chip should deliver solid year-over-year performance and power efficiency gains.
  • C2 Modem: Apple’s custom C1 cellular modem for 5G and LTE debuted in the iPhone 16e last year, and that was followed by a C1X chip in the iPhone Air. Apple says the C1X modem is up to twice as fast as the C1 modem, and the most power-efficient modem in an iPhone ever. The improvements should continue with Apple’s third-generation C2 modem in the iPhone 18 Pro models.
  • N2 Chip: Most of the iPhone 17 models and the iPhone Air are equipped with an Apple-designed N1 chip that enables Wi-Fi 7, Bluetooth 6, and Thread. Apple says the N1 chip also improves the overall performance and reliability of features like Personal Hotspot and AirDrop. iPhone 18 Pro models are expected to have Apple’s next-generation N2 chip, but it is not yet known what improvements would come with this upgrade.
  • A simplified Camera Control button with no swipe gestures.
  • Design changes to the rear Ceramic Shield for MagSafe charging, potentially including a more frosted glass appearance.
  • Web browsing via satellite.
  • The iPhone 18 Pro Max may be slightly thicker than the iPhone 17 Pro Max, perhaps to accommodate a larger battery.

Apple is expected to release the iPhone 18 Pro, iPhone 18 Pro Max, and a foldable iPhone in September, followed by a standard iPhone 18 model, a lower-end iPhone 18e, and potentially a second-generation iPhone Air early next year.

The Future of Money: Why Cryptocurrencies Are Here to Stay

The Future of Money: Why Cryptocurrencies Are Here to Stay

In recent years, cryptocurrencies have transformed from niche investments to a mainstream financial asset. Their impact has extended beyond the realm of traditional banking, raising important questions about the future of money. This article explores why cryptocurrencies are becoming an integral part of the financial ecosystem.

The Rise of Cryptocurrencies

Bitcoin, the first decentralized cryptocurrency, was launched in 2009 as an experiment in digital money. Since then, thousands of alternative cryptocurrencies, or altcoins, have emerged, each with unique features and use cases. The market capitalization of cryptocurrencies has soared, reflecting growing investor interest and public awareness.

Key Drivers of Adoption

  • Decentralization: Unlike traditional currencies governed by central banks, cryptocurrencies operate on decentralized networks, reducing the risk of manipulation.
  • Transparency: Most cryptocurrencies are built on blockchain technology, which provides a transparent and immutable record of transactions, building trust among users.
  • Inclusion: Cryptocurrencies offer financial services to the unbanked population worldwide, providing access to essential financial tools without the need for a traditional banking system.
  • Global Transactions: Cryptocurrencies allow for swift and cost-effective cross-border transactions, minimizing fees that often come with currency conversion.

Institutional Adoption

Institutional players have begun to embrace cryptocurrencies, further legitimizing their value. Major corporations, hedge funds, and even some governments are investing in or developing their own digital currencies. This trend signifies a robust shift in the financial landscape.

The Role of Central Bank Digital Currencies (CBDCs)

Central banks worldwide are exploring or piloting their own digital currencies, known as Central Bank Digital Currencies (CBDCs). While CBDCs operate under a centralized framework, they acknowledge the growing importance of digital transactions and the advantages offered by cryptocurrencies. This coexistence could pave the way for a more integrated financial system.

Challenges Ahead

Despite the promise of cryptocurrencies, several challenges need to be addressed for them to become fully entrenched in the financial ecosystem:

  • Regulation: Governments are grappling with how to regulate cryptocurrencies to protect consumers while fostering innovation.
  • Volatility: Price volatility remains a significant barrier to mainstream adoption, as users are hesitant to use cryptocurrencies as a stable medium of exchange.
  • Security Concerns: Cybersecurity risks and the potential for fraud in the cryptocurrency space pose challenges that need robust solutions.

The Road Ahead

As technology evolves, the adoption of cryptocurrencies is likely to grow. Innovations in blockchain, improvements in scalability, and enhanced user experiences can contribute to their sustainability in the future. Education and acceptance will also play critical roles in legitimizing cryptocurrencies in everyday financial transactions.

Conclusion

In conclusion, cryptocurrencies are not just a passing trend; they represent a significant shift in how we perceive and use money. With their unique advantages, including decentralization, transparency, and accessibility, it is evident that cryptocurrencies are here to stay. As we navigate the future of money, the integration of cryptocurrencies could redefine financial systems worldwide.

Kelly Ripa’s Retainer: A Secret Signal to Mark Consuelos

NEWYou can now listen to Fox News articles!

Kelly Ripa revealed that when she’s not in the mood, her visual cue to her husband, Mark Consuelos, is putting her retainer in.

“When they’re mating the koala goes in there and says ‘Hey, I’m, Mr. Koala.’ At times they’re not interested, so they turn their backs on them, and instead of being heartbroken, they just go to sleep,” Consuelos said while discussing koala mating behavior on their morning show “Live with Kelly and Mark” this week.

“It’s like you!” Ripa joked of Consuelos, acting out turning her back on her husband in bed, and adding, “And I pop my retainer in.”

“He hears the retainer pop in, it’s like a chastity belt,” she laughed.

Consuelos joked that the sound of her clicking her retainer in is so loud it almost echoes.

“He’s like, ‘Was that your retainer,'” Ripa said of Consuelos, and he said he adds, “All right, guess I’m going to bed.”

“And that’s what they do,” Consuelos said, turning back to the topic of koalas. “They have to preserve their energy until the right partner shows up.”

Consuelos immediately went on the defense and said, “What do you mean? Like, I walk fast in the airport?”

Cleveland’s East Side Faces Major Water Main Break

CLEVELAND, Ohio (WOIO) – The Cleveland Division of Police responded to a massive water main break Sunday evening.

Cleveland Police said the report of the break was on St. Clair Avenue and Nottingham Road, and officers are closing down the road.

Cleveland Police did not have any additional information on the break itself.

Sudden Flooding and Road Closures

The incident occurred when a major underground water line ruptured, sending thousands of gallons of water rushing into nearby streets. Several roads were temporarily closed as crews worked to contain the flooding and redirect traffic. In some areas, water levels rose high enough to affect parked vehicles and nearby properties.

Emergency services urged residents to avoid the affected zones while cleanup operations were underway. Public works teams deployed heavy equipment to isolate the break and prevent further water loss.

Impact on Residents and Businesses

Homes and businesses in the vicinity experienced low water pressure or complete service outages. For many residents, the disruption meant limited access to clean water for drinking, cooking, and sanitation. Local officials coordinated with community organizations to provide temporary relief, including bottled water distribution in the hardest-hit neighborhoods.

Business owners reported interruptions that could impact daily operations and revenue, particularly for restaurants and service-based establishments reliant on a steady water supply.

Infrastructure Concerns

The incident has once again highlighted the challenges posed by aging infrastructure. Much of the water system in older cities like Cleveland was built decades ago and is now under increasing strain. Experts note that temperature fluctuations, ground movement, and long-term wear can all contribute to such failures.

City officials acknowledged the need for continued investment in infrastructure upgrades to prevent similar incidents in the future. Plans for inspections and maintenance are expected to be accelerated following this event.

Ongoing Repairs and Recovery

Repair crews worked around the clock to fix the damaged main and restore normal service. While some areas saw improvements within hours, full restoration and road repairs may take longer. Authorities emphasized safety, asking residents to report any signs of additional leaks or damage.

Jake Paul Calls for Trump on the Front Lines, Theo Von Jokes About Barron

Two of the biggest names in President Donald Trump’s influencer orbit just floated an idea that the “send Barron” crowd has been screaming about for weeks — and they did it while laughing.

In an episode of This Past Weekend that dropped Sunday morning, Theo Von and guest Jake Paul were discussing the Roman Empire when the conversation took a sharp turn toward the Iran war, Trump, and his 20-year-old son.

Von set up the premise: Roman politicians didn’t just send citizens to war — they fought alongside them. Paul, doing what Paul does, took it further.

“I think you’re right,” Paul said. “Trump should be on the front lines.”

Von didn’t miss a beat.

“Or Barron,” he said.

The Room After the Punchline

What followed was a riff about Barron Trump’s height making him an easy target and his looks drawing enemy attention. The tone was joking. The context was not.

Three days earlier, Von had already drawn blood. The episode landed three days after Von’s appearance on The Joe Rogan Experience, where he delivered a nearly three-hour broadside against the Trump administration that turned the podcaster from MAGA-adjacent ally into one of the president’s most viral critics overnight.

On Rogan’s show, Von didn’t mince words. When Rogan noted the U.S. was supposedly trying to “stop the terrorists” in Iran, Von flipped the framing entirely: “That’s crazy, though, if you’re the f—ing terrorists. If you wanna stop them, stand in front of the f—ing mirror and start there.”

He also went after the broader class of politicians and wealthy families insulated from the consequences of war. “I’m sick of rich people not putting their f—ing kids over in these wars,” Von told Rogan. “Put your f—ing honky a– kids up there. Let them go shed some f—ing blood.”

Rogan’s response was to tell Von he was “losing his f—ing marbles.”

The People Who Helped Get Him Elected

Look at who’s talking.

Jake Paul received a personal endorsement from Trump on March 11 at a Kentucky event, where the president predicted Paul would run for office. Paul took the stage at Trump’s urging and told the crowd, “What Mr. Trump has taught me is courage.”

Twenty-five days later, he’s on a podcast suggesting Trump should be dodging bullets in Iran.

Von’s proximity runs even deeper. He hosted Trump on This Past Weekend during the 2024 campaign in what became one of the most-watched political podcast interviews of the cycle. He attended Trump’s second inauguration in January 2025 alongside both Paul brothers.

By May 2025, he was performing comedy for U.S. troops in Qatar at Al Udeid Air Base, where Trump personally thanked him on stage, telling the crowd that his son Barron was the one who told him to do Von’s show.

That same Barron is the one Von just suggested should be on the front lines.

A Coalition With Cracks Running Through It

Von and Paul aren’t the only ones. The influencer coalition that helped carry Trump back to the White House has been fracturing since Operation Epic Fury launched joint U.S.-Israeli strikes on Iran in February.

Andrew Schulz, who hosted Trump on his Flagrant podcast days before the 2024 election, has said Trump is “doing the exact opposite of everything I voted for.” Rogan has called the Iran strikes “insane” and accused the administration of using the war to bury the Epstein files. The hashtag “send Barron” trended on X in the weeks following the first strikes.

Von himself acknowledged the tension in a post on X after the Rogan episode went viral: “I was angry and kind of scared. And I wouldn’t even have the freedom of speech if all types of people braver than me hadn’t sacrificed for it.”

None of them have fully broken with Trump. None of them have walked anything back, either.

The Part Nobody’s Saying Out Loud

The Roman Empire comparison Von made wasn’t random. It was the same point antiwar voices have made for centuries — that the people who start wars should have skin in the game. The difference is that this time, the people making the argument are the same ones who handed the war-maker his microphone.

What You Need to Know Before Investing

Bitcoin, the first and most well-known cryptocurrency, has taken the world of finance by storm since its inception in 2009. With its rapid price fluctuations, groundbreaking technology, and potential for significant returns, many investors are considering entering the Bitcoin marketplace. However, before diving in, it’s crucial to understand the fundamentals.

What is Bitcoin?

Bitcoin is a decentralized digital currency that allows people to send or receive money over the internet without needing a central authority like a bank. Transactions are secure, transparent, and recorded on a public ledger known as the blockchain.

The Technology Behind Bitcoin

Bitcoin operates on a technology called blockchain, which is a distributed ledger that records all transactions across a network of computers. This technology provides several advantages:

  • Security: Transactions are encrypted, making it difficult to alter or counterfeit.
  • Transparency: All transactions are visible on the blockchain, allowing for accountability.
  • Decentralization: No single entity controls the network, reducing the risk of manipulation.

Understanding Volatility

One of the hallmark characteristics of Bitcoin is its price volatility. It’s common for Bitcoin’s price to experience significant swings within short periods, which can be challenging for investors:

  • Market Sentiment: News, regulations, and market trends can heavily influence price movements.
  • Speculation: Many investors buy Bitcoin hoping to sell it at a higher price, leading to rapid price changes.

Investment Strategies

Before investing in Bitcoin, consider these strategies:

  • Dollar-Cost Averaging: Invest a fixed amount regularly, which can reduce the impact of volatility.
  • Long-Term Holding: Consider holding onto your Bitcoin through market fluctuations for potential long-term gains.
  • Diversification: Don’t put all your investment into Bitcoin. Consider a diversified portfolio to mitigate risks.

Regulatory Considerations

The regulatory environment surrounding Bitcoin is constantly evolving. It’s essential to stay informed about local laws and regulations regarding cryptocurrency investments, as these can significantly impact your investment strategy.

Conclusion

Investing in Bitcoin can be an exciting opportunity but requires a solid understanding of the underlying technology, market dynamics, and risks involved. By educating yourself and forming a thoughtful strategy, you can navigate the complexities of Bitcoin investment more effectively.

Curry Embraces a New Normal After Unpredictable Knee Rehab

SAN FRANCISCO — In a lengthy news conference Saturday in advance of his return Sunday night, Golden State Warriors star Stephen Curry detailed the persistent and “unpredictable” right knee injury that has kept him out of the previous 27 games.

“I thought I was going to be out a week,” Curry said. “Ten days max. [But] every time I got on the court or tried to push it in that first month, there was always a reaction. You just knew it wasn’t healing as fast as you thought.”

The pain and swelling in Curry’s right knee initially popped up Jan. 24 during a workout in Minneapolis. He played through it for a few games before leaving the lineup Jan. 30.

Curry has since missed more than two months with what is termed as “runner’s knee,” but he advanced to 5-on-5 scrimmaging this past week and finally received clearance from the medical staff to make his return against the Houston Rockets at home Sunday night.

He will officially be listed as questionable, but assuming there aren’t unexpected setbacks in the next 24 hours, he is expected to play.

“Every day I wake up, first thing I think is how this [knee] is going to feel,” Curry said. “That’s been a struggle throughout the whole process. Even now. As good as I feel now, I hope it stays that way. It’s just a matter of getting out there and seeing.”

During the absence, Curry turned 38 in mid-March. He has one more season left on his current contract and has talked about wanting to keep his career going past that. He was asked whether this persistent knee injury was something he will need to manage the rest of his playing days.

“Yes and no,” Curry said. “There’s nothing structurally wrong with my knee. So it’s not like I’m compromised out there. It is a new normal, though, if that makes sense.”

Curry said this was a different experience than any of his past ankle, knee or tailbone injuries because there was no defined timeline and he couldn’t push through it or be on the court while it is still in the late stages of healing.

Curry said he first figured he would return in mid-February after the All-Star break. He later wanted to return for a March road trip out East. He also experienced a setback a couple of weeks ago in Atlanta when it had felt as if he was nearing a return.

“You’d start running and doing your normal [rehab] workout,” Curry said, describing the problem. “[Then] toward the end of however long the session was, you’d start to feel the pain creep back in and the next day it’d be awful. Played that song and dance so many times over the last two months.”

Curry returns to a Warriors team that tumbled down the standings without him, going 9-18 in his 27-game absence, planting Golden State as the firm 10th seed in the Western Conference with five games left.

As Curry said, it doesn’t matter much what the Warriors do in their final five regular-season games. They will be in the bottom side of the play-in bracket and will need to win two elimination games on the road against a mix of the Blazers, Clippers and Suns.

If they are able to pull that off, they’d push into the playoffs as the eighth seed and get a first-round series against either the defending champion Oklahoma City Thunder or the red-hot San Antonio Spurs.

“Hopefully win two play-in games,” Curry said. “Then we can have another conversation.”

Curry said he never seriously considered shutting himself down for the season, and Warriors coach Steve Kerr reiterated that the franchise never approached him about it.

“He’s the greatest face of a franchise that I’ve ever seen,” Kerr said. “We owe it to our fans to give them the opportunity to watch Steph Curry play basketball this year. And Steph doesn’t even think twice about that. That’s what he wants. That’s what we want. That’s what our fans want. So we’re going to do that.”

Scottie Scheffler Returns to the Masters with Newborn Son Remy

AUGUSTA, Ga. — Two-time Masters champion Scottie Scheffler arrived at Augusta National on Sunday, and he brought the whole family with him. All four of them.

Scheffler, who tends to keep his golf separate from his home life, had not shared any information since withdrawing from the Houston Open two weeks ago because of the impending birth of his second child. He said wife Meredith gave birth to a boy on March 27. They named him Remy.

“We just liked it,” Scheffler said about the name.

His first son, Bennett, was born in 2024 before the PGA Championship.

“We didn’t have very many good boy names, to be honest with you,” he said.

There he was, in a stroller Meredith was pushing under the famous oak tree by the clubhouse, 9 days old and already at his first Masters.

It added to the sights rarely seen anywhere else on the Sunday before a major. That holds true with so much about the Masters.

Defending champion Rory McIlroy has been at the club all weekend, watching the Augusta National Women’s Amateur on Saturday and handing out trophies to a group of boys in the annual Drive, Chip and Putt National Finals on Sunday.

McIlroy has talked about how much he looked forward to returning as the Masters champion and enjoying all the perks that go with it. He was in his green jacket during the Drive, Chip and Putt, and posed with Maria José Marin, the ANWA winner and first Colombian to join the roll call of Augusta National winners.

Then he headed out to the golf course with his father, Gerry, and Augusta member Jimmy Dunne. Next up is the Masters Club dinner Tuesday and the elaborate menu he has put together.

“It is the most exclusive dinner club in all of sport, and I think we should all feel very fortunate that we are there,” he told Golf Channel after his part in the trophy presentation Sunday. “But we’re there because of the hard work and the good play that we’ve been able to produce.”

He also mentioned two players who won’t be at the dinner — Tiger Woods, arrested and briefly jailed for suspicion of driving under the influence during a March 27 car crash, and Phil Mickelson, who is tending to a personal health matter at home.

“Unfortunately, there will be a couple of guys that won’t be in that room, which is a shame, but I want to make sure that they’re acknowledged as well,” McIlroy said. “They’ve been two of the greatest champions that the Masters has ever seen. But it’s going to be a really cool night. I can’t wait. I hope everyone enjoys the dinner and enjoys everything that I’ve selected.”

Bryson DeChambeau teed off Sunday by himself after the DC&P was over, walking to slap hands and pose for photos with kids and spectators some 100 yards down the right side of the tee.

“I’ve got to go play,” he told them before running to catch up with his caddie. There are exceptions for running at Augusta National.

Also there was Gary Player, the three-time Masters champion who will be hitting the honorary tee shot Thursday. The Black Night was on the putting green as the Boys 7-9 division was preparing for its putting competition on the 18th green.

There was 8-year-old Landyn Kelly from Henderson, Nevada, rapping 40-foot putts toward the hole with 90-year-old Player watching with amazement.

“What a touch! What a touch he has, man!” Player exclaimed.

Scheffler took this Sunday to play with Blake Smith, his longtime manager, who had never played Augusta National. Scheffler and McIlroy are fighting some history this week. Adam Scott in 2013 is the last player to win the Masters after having three weeks off.

“I’ve been practicing,” Scheffler said. “I’ve been able to do a good amount at home.”
