McDonald’s is tapping into a beloved – though grumpy – Christmas character for its new, limited-edition meal.
McDonald’s is launching The Grinch Meal on Tuesday, Dec. 2. The holiday meal, which will be available at participating restaurants nationwide, features Dill Pickle “Grinch Salt” McShaker Fries, a new menu item. The classic McDonald’s fries are served with dill pickle seasoning on the side. Customers may then toss the fries and seasoning together in a McShaker bag to create their own tangy potatoes.
The Grinch Meal was first introduced in Canada in 2024. Due to the meal’s success, it was a “no-brainer” to bring it to the U.S., Alyssa Buetikofer, chief marketing and customer experience officer of McDonald’s USA, said in a statement.
A Holiday Twist on McDonald’s Classics
At the heart of The Grinch Meal is an all-new menu item crafted exclusively for the promotion. While McDonald’s has a long history of launching seasonal treats, this one stands out for its bold, green-themed presentation and unique flavor profile tailored to match the spirit of the Grinch himself.
The meal also includes some of McDonald’s best-loved staples, bundled together with themed packaging featuring illustrations of Whoville, the Grinch, and his loyal companion Max. Early reactions online suggest customers are especially charmed by the festive box design—perfect for sharing on social media.
