Rumi and Jinu’s Exclusive Jimmy Fallon Interview

Fans of KPop Demon Hunters were in for a treat when stars Rumi and Jinu appeared on The Tonight Show Starring Jimmy Fallon for an exclusive interview that blended humor, music, and behind-the-scenes revelations. The duo’s appearance quickly became a talking point among K-pop and pop-culture fans alike, offering fresh insight into the hit series and its growing global popularity.

A High-Energy Entrance on Fallon

From the moment they stepped onto the stage, Rumi and Jinu brought unmistakable star power. Jimmy Fallon, known for his enthusiasm and playful banter, welcomed the pair with questions about the show’s concept—mixing high-octane K-pop performances with supernatural demon-hunting action. The chemistry between the hosts and guests made for an entertaining start, setting the tone for the rest of the interview.

Arden Cho and Ahn Hyo-seop, the voice actors who play love interests Rumi and Jinu in “KPop Demon Hunters,” will do their first-ever joint interview on “The Tonight Show With Jimmy Fallon.”

The episode will air on Jan. 12 at 11:35 p.m. on NBC before streaming on Peacock the next day. News of Cho and Hyo-seop’s sit-down with Fallon was announced in a teaser video NBC released on social media. In the video, a young girl approaches Fallon with a piece of paper, saying, “Excuse me, mister, I made this for you.” He takes the paper and sees a drawing of Rumi and Jinu with the actors’ names and the date of the episode written on it.

This isn’t the first time Fallon’s show has been the platform for a “KPop Demon Hunters” star. In October, the singing voices behind Rumi (Ejae), Mira (Nuna) and Zoey (Rei Ami) performed the song “Golden” on “The Tonight Show” and joined Fallon on the couch. The Oct. 7 episode was originally set to be their first-ever televised appearance and live performance — before they made a surprise cameo in an episode of “Saturday Night Live” hosted by Bad Bunny on Oct. 4.

Besides Cho and Hyo-seop, “The Tonight Show” will also feature guests Kristen Wiig and Ashton Kutcher and a musical performance by Ty Meyers on Jan. 12.

“KPop Demon Hunters” premiered on Netflix on June 20 and quickly became the streamer’s most popular English-language film of all time. Since then it has accrued more than 500 million views worldwide.

What’s Next for Rumi and Jinu?

While avoiding spoilers, Rumi and Jinu teased that upcoming episodes will dive deeper into their characters’ backstories and raise the stakes in the battle against dark forces. Fallon jokingly pressed for details, but the stars skillfully kept secrets intact—only promising “bigger performances” and “unexpected twists.”

A Memorable Late-Night Moment

The interview wrapped up with laughter, playful exchanges, and a sense that KPop Demon Hunters is just getting started. Rumi and Jinu’s appearance on The Tonight Show not only showcased their talent and charm but also cemented the series’ place in mainstream pop culture.

For fans, the exclusive Jimmy Fallon interview served as both a celebration of the show’s success and a tantalizing hint of what’s to come.
