At this time of year we’re loving watching the most wholesome and comforting of TV shows, which is why we’re thrilled new series Ripple dropped on Netflix last week. But will it be returning for a second season?
The eight-part series shows the ripple effect one person’s small decision can have on all those around them, including people they don’t even know. The series four main characters—Aria, Nate, Kris and Walter—all start off as strangers but soon become enmeshed in each other’s lives. And as the series progresses it comes to teach us about hope, pain, and empathy, and the profound effect we can all have on each other. Sorry, you just caught us sobbing over here.
Ripple ends on somewhat of a cliffhanger with many questions left unanswered about all the main characters. And so here’s everything we know about a potential season two so far.
Has Ripple on Netflix been confirmed for season 2?
Ripple is a show originally created by Lionsgate that is now showing on Netflix. It debuted on December 3 and as of yet has not been officially renewed by Lionsgate for another season.
However, that shouldn’t stop us from hoping another season will happen. TV streamers often take a while to officially announce a renewal for a show, as they often wait to see audience reaction and viewer numbers before giving it the green light.
The cast also seem very keen for another season as they are all frequently sharing screenshots of how well the show is doing on Netflix.

What could happen in a second season of Ripple?
The show left a lot of doors open for future plots of the show and so if the show were to return we’d want to see if Nate does make it through his cancer journey and take part in the clinical trial.
Aria is set to go on a music tour, and Walter and Nate have teamed up to own the bar Lumi and keep it alive. We’d also want to see what the future holds for Kris and Nate as the last we saw of them was Nate gifting Kris a plant and writing her a letter saying “Maybe our journey is only just beginning.”
Now I don’t know about you but that sounds like there’s plenty more for a season 2.
