Have you ever been asked to try the 9-9-9 Challenge? It’s person vs. food. A literal sausage race against time at a baseball game.

The challenge: Consume nine hot dogs and and drink nine beers in nine innings. Apparently, it’s not a new thing.

And at a Milwaukee Brewers game, these dogs can’t be Chicago-style in any way. It’s not a secret that they have to include stadium sauce.

Pewaukee native and former University of Wisconsin and NFL star JJ Watt not only threw out the first pitch before the Brewers’ game July 25 to kick off the 25th anniversary of American Family Field, he attempted the Triple-9 Challenge.

It was a grand-slam performance.

Watt documented the challenge in a series of posts on X. He said he crushed his ninth hot dog and drank his ninth beer after 5½ innings.

And Watt might have even added a 10th-inning dessert course.

And after letting the nine ballpark courses digest, Watt apparently needed a 10th-inning snack that included cheese curds and frozen custard.

Watt’s breakfast table looked a bit more organic the next morning.
