Angel Reese will make her season debut in Unrivaled for Rose BC on Friday. Unrivaled announced on Wednesday that Reese would return to the 3-on-3 league for the rest of the season.
The 23-year-old WNBA star played for Rose BC in Unrivaled’s inaugural season last year. Reese did not initially sign to play in the league this season but filled a vacant roster spot with Rose BC after Aari McDonald was ruled out for the season with a right leg injury.

Last season, Reese led the league in rebounding, with 12.1 per game, recorded eight double-doubles, posted the first 20-20 game in the league and was named Defensive Player of the Year.
After making a strong impact at the collegiate level with LSU Tigers women’s basketball, Reese successfully transitioned to the professional stage with the Chicago Sky in the Women’s National Basketball Association. Her physicality in the paint, ability to crash the boards, and competitive mindset quickly earned her attention across the league.
Now, with Unrivaled offering a fresh platform for elite women’s basketball talent, Reese has another opportunity to showcase her evolving game. The league’s fast-paced format and emphasis on individual skill sets could play perfectly into her strengths, particularly her versatility and high motor on both ends of the floor.
Fans will be watching closely to see how Reese adapts her game to the Unrivaled setting. While she’s already proven she can dominate in traditional five-on-five play, this new stage offers room to refine her offensive arsenal, improve consistency from mid-range, and further establish herself as one of the sport’s emerging stars.
Beyond statistics, Reese’s influence extends off the court. Her confidence, leadership, and strong social media presence have made her one of the most recognizable faces in women’s basketball. As she begins this new season, she carries not only personal ambitions but also the growing spotlight of a fan base eager to see her continue breaking barriers.
Rose BC won the championship despite Reese missing the semifinals due to a hand injury. Her success in Unrivaled carried over to the WNBA last season. In her second season with the Chicago Sky, Reese averaged 14.7 points, 12.6 rebounds, 3.7 assists, and 1.5 steals per game.
Reese will also make her U.S. senior team debut in the FIBA Women’s World Cup qualifying tournament on March 11.
